  1. A hastily penned note is tacked on a hay bale near The Feisty Chicken Inn.... What's a pomegranate anyway?
  2. At the Feisty Chicken Tavern a wandering bard told an unlikely tale of a fruit he'd seen at the market in Tharbad. "About the size of a dwarf's fist," He said. "About as hard, too. But Oh... when you finally get inside there's a red juice that's red as blood and sweet as nectar. It's full of little seeds though." He laughed. "The lass selling the fruit told me, it won't grow here, no matter how many seed you plant. It needs the warmth and sun of the south."
  3. A Hay Bale Booth has been erected on Annakol North Road. Travelers reported seeing a slender green-haired elfish woman working building it. What's particularly unusual about the booth is the scary looking halfling who appears to be in charge of it.
  4. You might just want to hang around for the Harvest Festival. :D Best wishes in your new job and with your writing projects. It's been a pleasure to DM for you. I hope to see you around again soon.

  8. In spite of my sore knee, this one made me smile. The Monster Manual?
  9. I had surgery on my knee last Friday. Friday, I felt awful. Saturday was a bit better. I'm getting better everyday. I'm on pain killers, have to keep my leg propped above my heart, and my knee iced. As soon as I can I will be back.
  10. Kaitlinn -- I've listened to the first Dresdren Files, Storm Front by Jim Butcher in audiobook. We've watched the TV series through Netflix. I enjoyed the TV show and I'm disappointed it was canceled after one season. The first book is even better than the TV show! I like Jim Butcher's writing and I plan on reading more. Thanks for the tip on his Codex of Alera series. Raven -- Wow! What a contrast in books. Are reading an English translation of Musashi? Has it been translated into Portuguese? After role playing with your philosopher wizard Haryon, I know your classes must be inte

  14. I thought it'd be fun to share what books we're reading. So, tell us the title, author, a bit about the book, and if you recommend it. Please No Spoilers! Without further ado, I will start with what I'm reading when I have a few precious moments. Golden Fool, Book 2 in The Tawny Man Series by Robin Hobb Robin Hobb writes high fantasy. Her work rises above a sea of mediocrity. How does she do it? With characters such as Fitzchivalry Farseer and The Fool. None of her characters are two dimensional. Fitz is as full and well-rounded as your best friend. The world is vivid and detailed
  15. At the Feisty Chicken Tavern, more travelers report gaggles of pixies flitting about the farmlands. Here and there, near Annakol and all the way to the lowland halfling farms, it's coming up pixies. Some have even been spotted as far as the mountains east of the Village of Nif. "Ain't them nasty sorts of bugs." One grizzled veteren said. "Them's the bugs that just buzz abouts, laughing and carrying on. They's trouble. No doubt 'bout it. But they's not the kinds that bite and throws hexes on ye." When asked, about it, Priestess of Milikki, Jania just smiles. "They're harmless.
