  1. Then... 3pm to 4:30pm (or thereabouts) Central Time Zone (you do your own math). That will give me time to have a break and prep for Horselords.

As for a premise... the Rangers could be doing routine patrols of the area around Lathine. If new elves would like to join us, I don't know why not. IMO they just need to be elven and have a reason to aid Lathine.

  2. Hi Alvin.

This forum is new. So, we veterans aren't quite adept at navigating its depths right now, either!

As for getting started in the world, my advice is to always keep it simple. Don't try to be the lost heir of a demonic queen... that won't go over very well here. Young adventurers looking for fame and fortune off the farm tend to be a good place to start.

As for WHERE to start, find your way into the Dungeons of Sidonia's castle. There is a training room there to give you a start.

And never fear to ask a player or DM. We are very happy to show you the ropes.

    Welcome to RoA.

No Horselords December 19 or 26 due to DM conflict with work and holiday travel.

Tentatively planning on resuming Jan 2, contingent on DM hangover.

    In the meantime, two things.

    1. I've been horrible with updating the journal. Please help by sending game summaries. I've dropped the ball with this.

    2. Send me your Horselord Name as the Jolly Fat Yule Bringer may want to send you a Yule card via the pixie postal service.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

  4. Hi all.

The last couple weeks have had thin attendance for the Horselord game. I totally realize there is a lot going on for everyone so I'm not super upset at this. We are in the middle of a campaign, but I wonder if maybe we should go on a short hiatus until everyone has time to come back?

What do you think? In the meantime we can do what we did last night-- play other PCs and have fun!

    Mike

  5. There is a very, VERY, small window of opportunity for me to incorporate new players this Sunday.

    If interested PM ASAP.

The campaign requires a unique, dedicated PC. No incorporation of existing non-Horselord PCs.

You will be leveled to 15; 5 levels Horselord and 10 levels of your choice. But you ARE a Horselord, first and formost.

No back story required. I actually prefer if you didn't have one. Information will be provided.

    Human only.

You can have the DLA horse of your preference.

  6. When I started on the server, I didn't know a damn thing, both in and out of character. My first PC was a blank slate. I dreaded when someone asked where he came from, or directions somewhere, or anything about the world. But he still adventured and explored. He traveled along side a few other characters for most of his life, which they greatly shaped who he became, not the history I contrived for him. I don't think I mentioned his past until he was level 16 and by that time he'd done some traveling and I was able to construct one. So, with no preconceived background on my character, I wound up with a level 40 Druid/Barbarian living in the basement of a elven castle and searching for a sister he never knew he had.... It's amazing where you'll let the game take you if you let it.

  7. I remember when Flamecrow and I first talked about a Horselord prestige class.

    What developed, first, was nice.

But after a test run of the overhauled class, I am thoroughly impressed!

Not only does it allow new feats and different ways of building characters, but the class itself fully embraces everything that has evolved from the Horselord Campaign.

    Kudos, Flamecrow, for your work.

Kudos, to the players, for making the campaign special.

Kudos, to Barry & Charissa, for letting us continue to play.

That said, there are still some bugs to be worked out. (ie mud rolling blinds the caster)

Players may need to relevel. Please PM prior to the next game if that includes you.

Having seen what the class can now do, I'm very anxious for the campaign to resume. Perhaps a trip through Hell is in order sooner than later?!
