Sheep! Yay!

Piety turns restlessly in her sleep. Suddenly she is in the Gnomar golem laboratory. Professor Marcus is there, wearing a heart listening device around his neck and carrying some sort of board he consults and writes on from time to time. He hums and gets her to say Awwww. "Your battery is dead" suddenly he turns into Professor Cog. He installs a cooling fan and tuts over the flux capacitor installed by Professor Marcus. Piety mumbles in her sleep but sinks deeper into the dream. "Ah. Here's the problem " Cog mutters. "This will work much better" and hangs an amulet around her neck. He thumps herhard on the chest to activate the amulet. Piety wakes with a start. "Goodness, what a dream!" buut in her leeft hand is a fan and around her neck is a strange amulet. Oddly she can smell the faintest whiff of baked bread.

Hello, my name is Feather. I have been playing on Annakolia since 2005. My login name is Lightasa_Feather and you can see me on the DM side as DM_Feather or sometimes DM_Mousewoman. I totally admire the story telling abilities of my fellow DMs, but my chaotic schedule and grasshopper brain lends itself more to one-off or location based games. They are often are based in the Lovecraft influenced corner of the server...Arkham, the Miskatonic University and environs or tour based adventures in little travelled areas lead by renowned travel guide Edbur Hillbert.
My PCs of note: Fetha Kelmer (nee Willobee), Ludmilla Drachenova (visit her wax museum in Annakol), and Luli Steinhammer (one of the older members of the Steinhammer clan).
I am located on the West Coast of British Columbia so am in the Pacific time zone. This means I am on the server late, late, late for most of the East Coast and beyond. I can be flagged down almost any time in the evening on Discord for assistance or some game playing.

Some while ago....
A dark door in a Pixie Glade slides open and a basket with a baby is pushed through the doorway.
Sounds of weeping "My darling girl" A trembling hand strokes a strand of hair from the baby's cheek.
"Leave her. The fairies here are good hearted. They'll look after her. He will not find her here"
The door slams shut mid sob.
...Some little while later
Shifu Chin Ho is in his master's dojo inventorying supplies. The door opens and along with the cold wind comes Shifu Scoo Bi, carrying a basket in his mouth.
What have you there Shifu Scoo Bi?
Shifu Scoo Bi Doo sets the basket down "Far Ray Ree"
"A what?" Shifu Chin Ho looks down with amazement at the basket and it's astonishing contents. "A baby!", clapping his hands with delight. He bends to inspect the baby more closely. "Human! Well Well. Why we haven't had a baby here since that little gnome girl. Such a fuss everyone made when we placed her with the Willoughbys." Plucks the baby out of the basket, missing the bit of parchment tucked into the blankets, now fluttering to unnoticed to the floor. "Now who's the lovely baby waby ", coos. "Lets find a nice warm place to tuck you up. No need to bother Sensai, Shifu Scoo Bi, if you go to the Village to get some goat milk we'll" turns back to the baby "Have you all feddy weddy up."
Shifu Scoo Bi raises an expressive eyebrow but heads out of the monastery to the Village

Since this is using Terminal, I am assuming the instructions will also apply to Linux.
I've put in an alias to the terminal and a text file of the open statement in my Beamdog Library/0089/bin/macos/ folder beside the nwmain.app for ease of use. NOTE: Every time Beamdog updates it erases the contents of the macos folder...put the shortcuts into a desktop folder or some other spot that will not get erased.

My apologies to all players, but I need a hiatus.
Real life has too many distractions right now.
And the ever dwindling player base is discouraging. The last straw was the DM/PC skirmish last week. I don't have the time or energy to deal with that kind of crap.
It's been fun, and I'll miss many people. But it is time.

This week I am building a sheep pen and next week is our annual Fall Fair. I am co-coordinator of the animal barn, so no game for me until after the Fair. After that I should be able to play.

I cant see Annakolia CEP in the Roleplay section. I dont have any of my saved NW bookmarks cause I had to re-install.
As an aside, does anyone know how to alter a Windows shortcut to directly load Annakolia. Again, lost my previous bookmark when I re-installed Windows.

I am still installing software. My last attempt resulted in not being able to create new files or folders so I had to start over. Making it a priority this week so should be ready to go next week.

I have re-installed Windows and am defragging disks in an effort to keep my 10 year old computer running Neverwinter. This involved removing all my Neverwinter files on to a backup drive, de-fragging, re-installing Neverwinter, and then moving back character files, portraits, etc. I started the process early this week but involvement in a local international choir festival has slowed down the process,
Which is to say I don't have Neverwinter on my computer this week, so no game for me. Locks will be absent next week as well as I will be travelling to the Interior to collect sheep.
I hope you all have lots of fun.
And Yaaaay to Michigan power guys for getting Annakolia back up and running. I know that must have been their first priority

Sorry to all for not posting any games recently. I thought that retirement would mean more time for games, but it seems I'm busier than ever. Part of the problem is my current lack of transportation, and am dependent on other folks schedule. I'm hoping very much to have a new vehicle some time in the next few weeks. Until then I may have to change the time of the game...let me see what happens next week. I'll post here and in new events.
