Welcome to Annakolia. There are players and DMs about, however, we do need to build a larger player base which is rather difficult these days as so many have moved on to other games. The advantages of playing on Annakolia however is huge - 1) The world is nearly 2,000 areas - lots of places to go and things to see and do. 2) World history is rich and well developed. 3) The experience is not repetitive - spawns with the now famous Sparky Spawner (developed on Annakolia by Malishara) keeps the spawns rich and varied as well as their locations - so you cannot learn, oh when i step

There is a lot of history/world information, however not all is published. Some is for DM eyes only - some is just not written in any readable form and some is still only transmitted by verbal account due to all of us being too lazy to take the oodles of time required to write it down. Charissa, Wolfgang and I were sick this week, Charissa had to miss 2 days of work which is very unusual - missed Girl Rangers and Halflings - Wolfgang hit his head in a fall friday and was resting - he is fine. We have to be away today and don't know what time we will get home, meaning I am unsure if I can run Feisty Chicken today. If we get back in time I plan to run the game but I don't know if timing will be supportive of that.

I hope to run the FC once again Saturday September 17th at 6PM Eastern Time - I have a small lull in the activities. Next week i shall be out of town.

I have had many conflicts during the summer and have missed many of my game I either play in or DM - this should change somewhat as school starts and skating ice times change. I just got some of the problems fixed with the last module/server update - they are now working and one can travel to space islands as i stated in my blog - but unfortunately was not functional until today. I have more changes, additions, improvements i am working on. I hope to have some surprises up and running and the next Feisty Chicken Game can now actually function as i had planned many weeks ago. Sorry I have been away - NO Feisty Chicken when I am gone unless another DM picks up the slack. Hunting is all a matter of your level and class - as well as general survival skill. On survival - I suggest a good ranged weapon, even for fighters, until you get enough levels and equipment to stay alive in a fight. Things can get mighty difficult at times for a solo player since the server is weighted toward encouraging team play - something hard to do right now with so few players on at times. We are trying to be there tomorrow but so far the last few times skating schedule is keeping us from playing. We will NOT be there the following Friday we will be gone to the Lake Placid Ice Dance Competition -- we will be gone for the whole week so no Girl Rangers either. Wolfgang and I were 30 mins late to Girl Rangers this last week but nobody to play with so i guess you all gave up on us. Evenings usually are best for me on weekdays - we are doing Feisty Chicken on Sat. at 6 Eastern but before and after is probably not happening with current schedule which leaves us only weekdays as Sundays are always iffy right now.

Yes - well - there will need to be some time with us as DMs to show you around. The areas about the elven tree folk were all rebuilt and changed - There are some nice tree houses to choose from however the area you once knew no longer exists as many areas around there no longer exist - all rebuilt with new tilesets and improved. I am certain we can get you all situated and happy with something in the new areas.

The 1066 clan will be at Piano camp Blue Lake Michigan Suzuki Music Camp and will miss BOTH Girl Rangers AND Halflings This week. I hope the server holds itself together for the away time. See you all next week.

NO - I did NOT suspect some updated software, i said i was removing it to remove the possibility that it could be the problem - IT WAS NOT. The Puzzle IS - what can cause NWN to crash AND crash the computer's OS as well. Answer: There are some things but most of the answers are classified due to the principle -- NEVER TELL THIS TYPE OF THING TO EVERYONE!!! Yea that type of info is dangerous and it appears to be being used on or at Annakolia. This could be unknown or innocent use -- Such as using overrides OR IP sharing without using separate user IDs in the NWNplayer.i

Welcome to Annakolia Nate: There are now about 1,800 areas to explore, however some of that exploring will require epic level characters - other areas that are not as difficult. Best advice - keep the exploring close to Annakol and the beginning dungeon at first - a solo character can get killed fast at low level moving off into new areas. I just tested Annakolia, making a new character and working him up from nothing, solo, just to see how hard it would be. Hello: You do not have to apply for any PrC EXCEPT for Horse Lord. I have said a number of times i did not want that to be an applied for PrC either but so far i have been over ruled on this - someday it will not be an applied for PrC. We do not have an irc channel but we DO have the forum chat - however, sadly, at the moment nobody is using it that i know of. It works very well and is a nice feature for DM meetings and players to get together. I am always at a loss for words with the loss of a loved one. Just because the one departing is not human does not mean the attachment and grief is less -- studies have shown it is the same as loosing a close family member. I still grieve for two dogs who were as close as family members - one as close as Ceara was to you Feather leaves that huge area suddenly empty. I have lost two parents, a child, some number of close cats and dogs and some friends, including one friend this week. You are not alone - even though we only talk through the Internet, you are my friend and not alone.

I must apologize to all for not being at the Feisty Chicken today. Wolfgang got 4 wisdom teeth pulled this morning and Charissa and I were nursing his all day. I had to go out and make some plans for modification of my mother-in-law's bed for when she is discharged from the hospital and by the time i got home it was too late. Sometimes life just gets in the way - i am very sorry and shall, as always be continuing the game at the appointed time. Thank you.

I am starting this topic off my Blog so others can post. I have now added the proper Sparky Spawner and area cleaner scripts to the onenter and onexit area script nodes. Went through all the areas in order and checked and reoriented all the entrance ATs - it appears that that forest entrance/exit is reversed in the tileset and any use of it requires the door/blue thingie, to be turned 180 degrees for it to be properly oriented. The Forest Road to Forest Road b AT is fixed. Every door in the 28 areas that currently exist have been plotted and the auto close script added. I h

The sever has run fine for the rest of the night - no indication of what the problem is but a current happy server makes me much happier. Please report any failures - I will keep as close an eye on things as i can but the potential, if it crashes, to go for a number of hours down is there. Nothing can be done by those with remote access since the server machine itself is what is going down.

NWN2 never addressed the multiplayer issues - many promises were made and a few fixes here and there but the really important things, basic to good MP experience enjoyed by NWN, were never worked on. The reasons are: 1) They could make their money pumping out single player stuff so why sink money into MP for what is already released. 2) The thinking on MP releases has changed in the big game circles - making something like NWN gives the game too much life and folks don't buy and play the new stuff - they want you to want THEIR new stuff, not continue making games of your own with stu

I found the server crashed - not NWN but the OS completely frozen. I rebooted and it ran for an hour and frozen up again. I did a cleanup and defrag and noted some odd spikes where the mouse would freeze up and noted a CPU spike associated with that. I could not find a specific application or processing doing this. At first i was thinking memory (ram) failure but with these clues are am thinking virus infection. I am installing AVG and will run it.
