The troop of questers, trying to find the last two objects needed for the magic wedding spell that breaks the cruse, are now on Alisha Island where they have made their way to Alisha Village. Along the way they did encounter a small few Ruin Spiders and have some silk sacks but not enough required to make the Dahke Halfling Wedding Cloth. They encountered a ship captain in Alisha Village by the name of Kylon Lionset (yes the author of Simple Sailing). He informed the questers that he was fishing to find another gold ring. Apparently he found a fancy gold ring in the belly of a fish he caught and as he described it to the questers - a ring with a Baronial Crest and the name Drowbane on a banner underneath the crest (BINGO that IS the ring they seek). He then proceeded to tell them how he traded the ring to a hobbit for a magic rabbit foot mounted on a bunny egg.(edited)
Obviously, the lucky rabbit foot will allow Captain Lionset to catch more gold rings in bellies of fishes - so he continues to fish.A company of Baroness Zoe troops met and attacked the company - they were heard to say: Kill all but Darla.

Nothing is ever as easy as it seems at first - nothing is easy - SO - the Drow Priestess said Darla and Hero needed three items to get married. 1) A rabbit egg. 2) A Dahke Halfling wedding cloth. 3) The ancient ancestral ring of the Drowbane family (disposed of centuries ago by Zoe Drowbane). The rabbit egg (found) - Off to Dahke to get the wedding cloth but none are made and the halfling lady who will make it requires a mountain of gems in payment and ten Ruin Spider silk sacks to make the special thread to weave the cloth.
The Mystic told Darla and Hero that the ring was found in the belly of a fish by a fisherman from the village of Alisha, on Alisha Island - where it just so happens, a lot of Ruin Spiders live and breed.
How nice.
Hero says it is simple sailing from here on

Why are the Curse of the Lovers group having to find three items before a Drow Priestess will marry them and why must it be this Drow Priestess?
This is not a normal wedding - This wedding is a magic spell, cast to break, or rather start the process that breaks the ancient curse over the Drowbane family and the drow elves they fought to destroy in the ancient past.
Baroness Zoe is ancient - she - transfers herself to female child every generation. If need be she can take other life to extend hers but that is a short term fix.
The three items, a rabbit egg, a Dahke halfling wedding cloth, and the ancient Drowbane family crest ring, are components of that spell to be cast when Darla and Hero wed.

Whoopee? you kow - get rip roaring smashed - that is the first step on whoopee - make certain you cannot stand proper no more by attempting a jig to hornpipe for bagpipes - very importat, MUST be hornpipe or bagpipe.
Ifen yer cun no longer stand yer is a ready - but ifen ya cun still jig ta pipes - down another keg or two and try again.
Once ya kun lno longer jig ta pipes - then mix the brew - very importanl - THIS IS WHOOPEE - no brew is ever the same but the WHOOPEE is all the difference and maken it special and all.

The old server would not auto reload when Microsoft Windows 10 decided to update and does restarts.
We can restart the NWN server remotly if that happens ONLY if the machine is up and running - something the old machine refused to do but the new machine does as it should.
Other advantages - 6 times faster loading of the NWN server (from 6 minutes + to 1 minute load time).
As stated above - more memory, faster processor, larger hard drive.
The end result - all is better - now with the upcoming October 4th internet speed upgrade to 25 up and 5 down - this should really help - finally - we are working on finding a way to move from WiFi to cable for the server. Years ago it was cable but the modem location is moved - need to work out a new solution for that.

Steinhammer Dwarves - the next generation!
Children of the Steinhammer clan are growing up - teachers have brought them to a point where they are stepping out on their own - BUT - they were told to NEVER neverr NEVER go to that place (mines of Moria) - guess where they went first.
Specs for next gen Steinhammer dwarf -
I had them make a brand new dwarf - we had three players and got one barbarian and two fighters working on dwarven defender. They started at the base level one with the free level up to level two - some gear was given and by the end of the two hours they were level 7.We could use some casters - clerics, sorcerers, wizards, druids, bards
However nobody is twisting arms on classes - make what you want

To install the character tester module-
!) download it -
2) unzip it - the file is a 7zip so you must install 7zip if you do not have it https://www.7-zip.org/
3) place the module in the Documents/Neverwinter Nights/module directory.
4) start NWN EE and start new - find the module name and start it - make a new character to work with.
5) once in the module you will move to the interior area and talk to the NPCs. Once there you can level up and down - there is gear to outfit and arm yourself - there are places to go and fight to test your build.

Before you make a monk - take a look at the Bane Mountain Monastery - and that is oriental, kung Fu type monks.
Also
The Asian/Oriental world of Tarowa is monk origin friendly.
My take on monks is old and futile since TSR took them out and Wizards of the Coast put them right back in.
I have learned to live with them.
The world of Annakolia is monk friendly.

What Players are saying about Happy Hour at the Feisty Chicken
ooc note. I enjoyed todays Feisty Chook Happy Hour. I liked the way the group acted together....and the pacing was spot on ....with [for me] new monsters and new places....and enough combat to satisfy that bit but also time to chat to people as well.
Thanks to the DM team.OOC: I must admit, I have shied away from getting involved in campaigns (or even large groups) because I am new to RP and the game. Last night was the first happy hour I participated in (just watched last week). I had a blast. I am hoping to return every week!
As always another fun time at the Chicken! Thanks to the DM's and the party for another adventure for Elly to chat about with friends!

If one is looking at our diety list with Farum/Forgotten Realms glasses - Massive mistakes will be made.
For example:
Tyr is from Norse Mytholgy - not Faerun (I do think Norse Mythology predates Faerun).
Loki is also from Norse mythology - an important point since there actually is no Tyr on Annakolia and Tyr is being presented by some other god.
Tyr on Annakol is said to be one thing but in reality is the god of punishment and torture - and they do not care how or where they get their victims to torture.
Torture and justice are seen as one and the same by Tyr followers and that is how it is presented by the god.
Yes you will find many surprises like this on Annakolia - we are not the Forgotten Realms nor Faerun in any way.
If you see a forgotten Realms god - That god is probably one that is from a real ancient pantheon and thus predates Faerun and the Forgotten Realms by centuries or millennia.

I just made a brownie bard and played him solo to test solo play. As long as you keep to the beginning dungeons at first, you willl enjoy some fast leveling into the low double digits. After that you will need to seek out some harder areas to level.
Keep in mind, the higher in level you go, the slower the leveling process.
There are over 2000 areas with 5 worlds to explore - this will take time and effort but solo can be great fun.
Some items that are desirable can only be purchased with Role Play Gems - acquired from DMs - usually by DMed games. These gems are also acquired through some other activities which will be announced soon.

In the distant past, Realms of Annakolia was connected to DSL with a static IP address.
Times Change
Current IP provider is AT&T and we are supposed to be connected to fiber optics. (As If - not so much)
We are actually connected to a copper wire that travels about a mile before it connects to the fiber optics hub - which is a severe limitation on speed and reliability.
I have no other workable option for internet that is reliable and workable for running the NWN Annakolia server. I would change in a heart-beat if there was a good fiber link option.
AT&T is about to give me a double wire option that, if I lived closer to the optical hub, would double our download and upload speeds - but NO - we are a mile away and the copper wire downgrades the data too much - BUT - with the paired line we should improve our contact enough to maintain what we are supposed to get currently (which we NEVER get).
Server is direct connected to the router - we just need better internet - STUPID AT&T.
